Harvest Carnival from the Scriptures...

We had an amazing Primary Harvest Carnival this last Friday. We had a really good turn out, lots of teacher and parent involvement, and a few of our primary children took our challenge to invite non-member friends... it was such a fun night for everybody. I have to admit that I was a little exhausted by the end of the evening, but it was so worth all the preparation, and effort. Thanks to everyone who made the activity a success! (Especially my presidency, love you ladies!)

We encouraged the primary children to come as their favorite scripture hero... Rhenley's favorite scripture story is Daniel in the Lion's Den... so Lucas' sister Erikka helped me make costumes for the girls... Rhen is Daniel & Jodee/Jayda are the Lions... Pretty darn cute if you ask me:) (Thanks Erikka, I'm so glad you can sew! Good Times!:)
--Two boys from the primary, "Abinadi" & "Captain Moroni"
--Two girls from the primary, "with their flashlights & extra batteries, instead of lamps":) Super cute!

Adam & Eve's Apple Bobbing (alternative to apple bobbing: get the donut off the string:) Jayda really wanted a donut, so she was willing to do the work... Rhenley & Jodee didn't want to even try!:(

Journey to the Promised Land Cupcake walk, Jodee won this time:)

Moses' journey in the Desert: Dig through the sand, if you find 5 rubies you get a prize

Brother of Jared Barge Races: Foil boats that you had to blow down the rain gutter

Daniel in the Lion's Den Bean Bag Toss

David & Goliath: Rhenley was so good at this game, she's really good with a sling shot (a lot of the boys were jealous:) It helped that she did have some practice before hand, the sling shot was hers:)

We also had "Service Hands" the kids got to make a candy corn/popcorn hand, and then write a letter to a son of one of our primary teachers who is currently in the Army.

Not pictured: Malachi's Tithing Toss: They got to throw fake coins into cups/bowls Nephi's Courage Basketball Toss, & Jonah & The Whale (classic carnival fishing game... can't believe I didn't get pictures of these:(
