Happy 4th of July

The girls loved making our Star "Fruit" Kabobs...

4 of the silliest, cutest, funniest girls around...

Just being silly... getting pumped for a yummy BBQ and fireworks!
Dayna was sick this year, so we just stayed home... had a BBQ, and did a few of our own fireworks...

 Dayna LOVED the sparklers...

At the end of the night, some of our friends had a bunch of "illegal" fireworks, so we went and watched them light those off... the girls had a good time!

Day 2- Pioneer Children walked and walked and walked...  and did a little journaling along the way...

 TIRED, and dirty...

 "The Hard Pull"

Look at the dirt and the smiles on our kids faces...

Playing a few games while waiting for the other companies to get to camp...
Setting up camp, end of Day 2...

It's TWINS for us... we adopted them before we left Iowa City...

Day 3- No Breakfast this morning... the kids were troopers...

Happy and fed :) (Thanks for a special breakfast that lifted our spirits... even if it came after a nasty snack)

Mountain man Ray (Lucas's parents were on the committee for the TREK, they did a wonderful job with all the activities and things they had planned for the TREK)  The mountain man gave us apples and jerky for lunch...

 Potty break and game time...
 Setting up camp, Day 3

Jacob, resting with the babies- Barry Brigham, and Shakira Young

Samantha and Nathan, loading the wagon for the last day...

On our way to ZION... Happy Day, Happy Day!

In ZION... very dirty, and tired, but we made it!
The Stevens family... Sierra Q., Kayla W., Nathan M, Ma & Pa, Lucas F., T'Kara B., Jacob H., & Samantha B.  In a short period of 4 days we grew to love these kids... what an amazing experience we had on the TREK.  Let me tell you, it was HARD, and TIRING, but very spiritual and worth all the time and effort!  I learned I can do hard things!  I can live without technology (it's nice to have though), we are blessed, and God is with us... At all times!
