Easter Sunday
This year for Easter we tried really hard to remind our girls why we celebrate Easter... I found this printable on Pinterest, and a few amazing pictures of Jesus Christ's resurrection... They were in the center of our home (on the entertainment center) to remind us of our Savior's life, atonement, and resurrection... I Know He Lives!
We also had a conversation with our girls about "The Easter Bunny" (The girls asked if there really was an Easter Bunny, they didn't think there was, it didn't make sense that a bunny could bring them treats... Plus Rhenley didn't understand what a bunny had to do with Jesus Christ... Our girls teach us daily, they are so smart, and in tune with the spirit, I Love these little girls so much, and am humbled to be their mother:)
The girls were totally okay with getting a few small gifts from us, not some bunny...
we got them a few small gifts: a movie to share, a new tshirt, some candy, sidewalk chalk & jump rope. We also gave the girls a small puzzle of Christ that I found at the church bookstore... it was a much different Easter this year, our focus was on Jesus Christ, I loved it!
Couldn't forget my honey on Easter... found the movie "Lucas", and some crabby pattys:)
Dayna is so funny, she doesn't sit for pictures very well, she is a mover and a shaker:) She got these cute little toys in her basket, and her favorite Gerber breakfast bars!
We LOVE our 4 Giggly Girls...

The Hunt is on...
Saturday morning as we were leaving to go to the Easter activity at the church, the girls noticed eggs in the yard... We got Egged...
Best hiding spot... Can you find the egg in this picture?
(We found out later we were Egged by our wonderful neighbors, The Nield family:)
We then went to the Easter activity at the church... Easter message- Resurrection eggs, and then Hunt #2...
Eggs, eggs, everywhere...
Rhen with her cousin Kylie, happy with their finds:)
After the church hunt, we went to Hunt #3 with my brother and his family, The John & Sara Spencer family, and grandparents...
Dayna participated in this hunt, she was so happy, and loved the eggs... especially once she realized there was candy inside:)
Our little squirt, trying to find some eggs...
Eggs found... just open them and give me the candy!
The girls really liked this hunt... many of the eggs had rings, little critters, and $$$ :)
Rhenley $3 richer... she's saving her money for our family reunion to the coast this summer... she was thrilled!

Why do we do this?
The Saturday before Easter Sunday, we dyed Easter eggs with Aunt April & her sister Sara and ALL our crazy kiddos...
Why? Why do we dye eggs, who started the madness of it all?
We tried some rubber band eggs, some spinning eggs, but it was all pretty messy:)
Best technique was Sara's egg in a whisk, super nice for the kids and not very messy... Always a good time!

Rhenley... Will you draw on my face?
Jayda had a great idea one day... she wanted glasses and a mustache... (she did ask permission for Rhenley to draw on her face, before she actually had her do it:)
(Thankfully the marker came off very easily with just a baby wipe:)
Just a side note: If your children want to draw on their faces, dry erase markers work great and come off super easily!:)

Spring Break...
Didn't do much for Spring Break this year, Just being able to sleep in, was the best!!:) One day we decided to venture to Zillah for the afternoon to visit my Aunt Carol, cousin Rylee, and to ride some horses...
It was a little chilly, but sunny, Dayna had a blast with her sisters and cousins...
The girls loved the horses this year, a few years ago Jodee & Jayda were crying hysterically, didn't want anything to do with them...
Even Dayna wanted to ride "Boone" (with Aunt Carol of course:)
Grandma Nea got in on the horse riding action too... Jodee rode with her so she wouldn't be scared:)
Another day we went to the park with some friends, Dayna LOVES the swings!!
