Mario Kart Wii...

It's never to early to teach your kids how to play Mario Kart:) It's such a fun game, and so kid friendly. Although the twins don't get very far, they think it's fun to use the wheel like Mommy & Daddy:)

Finally...:)

The last two weeks we've had some sun... we finally were able to go play in the water fountains at "The Playground of Dreams."
The weather was perfect, and there weren't too many kids there, so the girls were able to run around on their own.



We went to the park with Auntie Kyra, cousin Brenden, Grandma Nea, Kyra's sister-in-law Sharon (& her 5 kids:), my sister-in-law Megan (& her 3 kids.) Good Times!

Jodee loved the water... it was a little cold, but she loved playing in the fountains!


While squatting down at the park a "lovely" seagull POOPED on me... it was all over my arm and pants. (You can't see it very well on my arm because of the brightness, but check out the poo on my pants:( The kids thought it was funny... everyone had a good laugh! Nasty Birds!!!

Go Mariners!

Father's Day Weekend we went with Kory & Abby (brother & sister-in-law) to Seattle for a little sight seeing and a Mariner's Game. I'm not a huge fan of baseball, but there is definitely something Awesome about watching a game at SafeCo Field. The garlic fries were delicious, the pizza & popcorn were yummy, and the fans were crazy, (we saw some real pieces of work...) several people were kicked out for misconduct (maybe they should quit serving alcohol...:) The game was pretty good, The Mariners of course, Lost, but it was fun to be there.

"Mullet Man" was an outrageous fan... he was kicked out eventually for drunken misconduct




Seattle is such an eclectic place, there are so many things and people to see. We ate lunch at McGrath's Fish House... they have the best cheese sticks, and their food was very yummy... Kory had a large tongue for a little while, he had an allergic reaction to something, but continued to eat because the food was so good:) We walked around by the Space Needle, rode a few of the carnival rides they had there, and just enjoyed each other's company. We stayed at the Hilton over by The SeaTac Airport, it was very nice... the beds were very soft:)

A Big Thanks to our Families for being willing to watch our kids! It had been a long time since either one of us had been anywhere without little ones:)

Rhenley & Lucas Graduate!

Rhenley graduated from preschool mid- June. We did a Mommy swap co-op preschool with some of our friends. Although Rhenley won't be going to Kindergarten until next fall, she still graduated with her friends this year. (She's ready for Kindergarten, but I'm not:) Rhenley can sing her ABC's, knows most letters by sight, she can spell & write her name, she can count to 30, and knows her numbers 1-10 (by sight). She also loves to draw, she is good at drawing people, and makes sure to get every part just right. We love our Rhenster, Way to go Rhen!


Graduating is such an accomplishment when you work full-time, are in the Elder's Quorum Presidency, have 3 kids & a wife to take care of, and you only take as many classes as you can afford. Lucas graduated from CBC (Columbia Basin College) on June 14th. He has been attending on and off since 2003. He got an Associates of Arts & Science, and will be attending WSU Tri-Cities in the Fall. He plans on getting his Bachelor's Degree in English, and then he'll be going to Law School. (We are trying to stay out of school debt until we get to Law School... so far so good:) We are so proud of Lucas, I was very emotional at the graduation, he works so hard for us, WE LOVE YOU LUKE! Congratulations on graduating with High Honors:) 3.86 GPA:)

Lets Go Treasure Hunting...

We have had so much fun GeoCaching this year. We go whenever the weather is nice:) It's good clean fun for everyone!
If you haven't heard of Geocache, check it out at geocaching.com. All you need to start caching is a GPS system, mode of transportation, and some nic-nacs to trade. There are caches all over the country... we have tons in our area, and people create new caches every day. The basics of geocaching are you get the coordinates and map for a cache from the site. You plug the coordinates into your GPS, then go find the treasure. People have hidden (usually camoed) containers of any size, sometimes they are really small (film canister size), and sometimes they are really big (12x12 lock-lock box). When you find the treasure you can take something (a toy, pencil, rock) that is in the cache, and then you leave something for someone else. (Finding and leaving treasure is definitely the best part!)

WAITING FOR SUMMER

I'm trying not to complain, because I don't really mind the weather that we've had lately, but seriously, it's June, and the temperature outside hasn't been above 90 degrees yet. This is so weird for our neck of the woods... it's usually well into the 90's and 100's by now. We have definitely enjoyed the cool days, but we're ready for sun... every day:) It can be 75-85 degrees, but the wind and rain need to stop, and the sun needs to return:) (We haven't played in the sprinklers, or gone swimming yet... this has never happened here:)



We want hotter days, but not too hot;)

Popsicles:)

The weather has been so strange lately... sunny, rainy, windy, rainy, windy, cloudy, sunny.
I've been waiting for summer so we could break out the popsicles for the girls. Summer isn't really here yet, but I couldn't wait any longer.:) Rhenley of course loved the popsicle, and would love to eat one every hour of the day. Jodee loved the popsicle as well... she didn't mind the cold at all. Jayda liked the popsicle at first, she bit off too much, and gave herself a brainfreeze. She cried, and cried, she wanted the popsicle, but it was just so darn cold, she didn't want to lick it, she wanted to bite it... it was quite comical to watch.

After the rain...

Comes the Rainbow. Memorial day weekend we went to the park, had plans for a BBQ, and games. The weather didn't agree with our plans... it rained, and rained, and rained... there was also lots of thunder and lightning. We were sheltered through the storm, so it was enjoyable. On the way home, there was not 1, but 2 rainbows... the pictures don't do the rainbows justice, but trust me when I say they were so clear and beautiful. I love nature, and as I get older I appreciate it more and more.
