Trip to Boise

So we've been in Boise for the last week (January 19th-January 24th), we had a really good time. Lucas' Grandma Stevens, Uncle Bob & Aunt Maureen, and several cousins live there. Our reason for going was to visit Grandma Stevens, and Lucas had a cross country skiing trip with his dad, uncles, and cousin Ben. While Rhenley, Jodee, Jayda, and I hung out with Grandma for a few days, Lucas was galavanting around the mountains. He had a really good time (Wednesday-Friday) skiing, snow-shoeing, and camping out in a "Yurt". (Look up "Yurt" on the internet...they are really neat:)
The twins took to Grandma Stevens very quickly, Jodee especially became Grandma's little buddy...she always wanted Grandma to hold her, play with her, talk to her... it was very cute. We were very glad we got to go. We went shopping at KOHL'S (big sale, can't miss a big sale:), we found treasures at Deseret Industries (D.I., the goodwill of Idaho/Utah), we also watched lots of movies with Grandma, she loves a good chick-flick:)
When Lucas got back we took Rhenley to see "Spiderwick Chronicles" (which is a very good movie, Rhenley loved it.) We also ate our first "Pronto Pup" (a pronto pup is an Idahoan's name for a "corn dog") They are way better than corn dogs, the batter is different, very yummy. The Garlic Fries were delicious as well.
On the way home we found a few "GeoCaches", and although the girls were very good on the way to Boise, they were horrid on the way home. WE WERE ALL READY TO BE HOME!
We had a good time in Boise, and it's always nice to be able to get away, but there's also NO PLACE LIKE HOME!:)

What a fun trip and great chance to get out of town. Sounds like you need a DVD player for your van, they are the best thing in the world. You can find the portable cheap ones at "wally world". They save me huge headaches.
