Mid August, we took this...

This is what we did...
Collected Rocks, and ate licorice... Killed bees... this bee was killed by Kristen, aka, The Bee Slayer:)


-- Popped popcorn and roasted mallows (Just a side note, if anyone hasn't had strawberry marshmallow smores, man you're missing out:) YUMMY!


La Wis Wis is a really nice campground, the girls had so much fun exploring nature, collecting leaves, rocks, and climbing on logs.

-- The National Forest had some of the coolest trees:)

The best part of the camping trip for me, well, besides being able to go with our friends:) Was that Kristen and I didn't have to cook or clean up after cooking for 2 whole days:) Our sweet hubby's did all the cooking and the cleaning, it was THE BEST!:)


We love being in nature, and we love our friends, good times were had by all:)

--Kristen's hubby Aaron, relaxing after fixing, then eating a very yummy breakfast...Aaron's recipes were delicious, but I gained probably 50lbs in just two days... cheesy potatoes, bacon, sausage, cheesy eggs, pancakes, french toast, chicken, corn, dutch oven peach cobbler, and cherry/chocolate cobbler... I'm getting fat just talking about all the yummy food:)

We loved camping, and will definitely go again soon. We were a little spoiled with the pop up tent trailer, Luke's parents own it, but it's a family rig, so we get to take it whenever:)

The rest of day 2 was spent at Howard Amon Park, boating, tubing, jet skiing, and picnicing:)

(I didn't take any pictures of the girls on the boat ride, but they loved it. It was their first time on a boat, they were a little nervous, but laughed and had a good time, and by the end they didn't want to get off:)

After the park, we went to the church for dinner, family games, and birthday cake.
We also took family pictures, here's most of the crew... those who weren't able to attend were missed. A few of Mike's kids, and a few of Reed's kids... maybe next year:)

We had a great time at our reunion. I'm so thankful for my family and extended family, they are wonderful people, and we always have a good time together:) Grandma T. was greatly missed at the reunion, she would have loved all the games at the park, and would have been in on the dodgeball action at the church. I'm grateful for the knowledge that I have that I'll see her again one day:)

Swallow Family Reunion 2009: Day 2

Day two of our Reunion began with a Prince/Princess party. It was so fun for the girls, they went to the party dressed in princess clothes, they got to make crowns, bead necklaces/bracelets, decorate cookies, stamp/color, get their nails painted, and have their hair fixed (curled, styled, and put into very cute hairthings courtesy of Aunt Carol & Cousin Ashley:) The girls had a such a fun time, thanks to Aunt Carol, Cousin Ashley, Auntie Kyra, Grandma Nea, Aunt Marie, Cousin Rylee, Angela, and Kelsi:)

The remainder of day 2 was spent at the park, boating, tubing, and eating:) The evening was spent at our church for dinner, and crazy games:) To be continued...

Swallow Family Reunion 2009: Day 1

The first day of our family reunion (my mom's side) was spent at The Playground of Dreams, and then at our church for games and pizza. (My camera died by the time we got to the church, so I only have pictures of the fun at the park, wish I would have taken more of everybody there:)

My sister Kyra and I played a little badminton, not your classic badminton, it was way better... there is no net:) Good Times! Such grace, if I do say so myself:)

-- A group of us played a little volleyball in a circle, trying to see if we could volley to 100, it was pretty ridiculous, we didn't ever make it to 100, we made it to 73, and then someone would screw up... lots of laughs during this event:)
-- My brother-in-law Jake and my baby brother Keith raced on wooden stilts, it was pretty hysterical...

Happy Birthday Peytoners :)

My cute little niece Peyton (Matt & Leslie's little girl) had her 3rd birthday on July 24th. We celebrated it at Leslie Groves Park on July 25th. Leslie made a cute rainbow cake, which was devoured in minutes. (Especially the mini cupcakes, YUM!)

Richland Stake Pioneer Day

We had a really good time at our church's 24th of July celebration. They had it at Sacajawea Park in Pasco, it was a very nice day, and a fun time was had by all.

We ate some yummy food: pulled pork sandwiches, salads, corn, and every dessert you can think of:)



Many pioneers played a game called, "Stick Pull", we thought we'd give it a whirl. Rhenley and Brenden couldn't do it very well, but Rhen eventually won. I beat my sister Leslie, and then my baby sister Kyra beat me:( It was pretty funny to watch:)

Jodee loved fishing, they gave candy for prizes, she went fishing probably 5 times:)

We also got to go on a horse (mule) drawn carriage ride, paint rocks, and take pioneer pictures.

Happy Anniversary to Us:)

Lucas and I have been married for 7 years now. We celebrated our Anniversary on July 11th, 7-11! We share our special day with 7-11, and get slurpees every year.:) This year we went to "Famous Dave's" (the best bbq in town:) for dinner, then we went mini golfing, I let Luke win:)

I sadly didn't take pictures of anything but two "Famous Dave's" moist towelettes. They have some pretty funny sayings on them... these were two of my favorites:)

Catching up... A New Addition to the family...

On July 10th Lucas' brother Kory and his wife Abby had their little bundle of joy, Emily Paige Stevens... she is precious! This is 3 kids for Kory & Abby, we are so excited for them and their new addition.

Just a side note: We didn't get to see Emily for almost 2 weeks, we were all puking our brains out, and didn't want to get anyone sick, it was sad:(

Still Alive...

Just want all of my followers to know that we're still alive. We've just been busy... recovering from sickness, swimming lessons, family in town, park & pool time, family reunion... any free time I do have, I don't feel like blogging, well uploading photos:) (It gets a little time consuming, especially when you get behind:)

Hope everyone is having a great summer! School is just around the corner, I'll start blogging again when things slow down:)
